Sproutling

Post a little. Pause a little.

Sproutling is a tiny pixel pet that keeps you company in your browser.

  • It's fed by what you post on Buffer, but gets peckish if you don't feed it new post ideas every once in a while.

  • When it notices you mindlessly scrolling for a little too long, it has a kind word for you: stretch, sip some water, reflect on what you've consumed.

Sproutling is content.

How it works

  1. Connect Buffer

Sign in once with Buffer's own OAuth screen. The extension asks to read your account, posts and ideas, and nothing else.

  2. Sproutling checks in

Every 15 minutes it looks at your posting goals, what you've sent, what's scheduled, and any new drafts or ideas.

  3. Its mood follows your habit

Hit your goals and it's full. Let the queue run dry and it gets hungry. Scheduled posts keep it calm, because food is on the way.

  4. It tags along

It sits in the corner of the Buffer app, and visits the sites of the channels you've connected, one site at a time, only when you say it can. If you scroll for a good while, it offers a kind word.

What it does

A reminder for your streak, and a calm presence for when the scrolling goes on a bit long.
